
Cherri Spriggs, CEO, Meraki Public Affairs
Cherri Spriggs’ storied career spans nearly 25 years and includes experience in Economic Development, Education, Tourism, Land Use, Transportation, Health Care, Tort Reform, and Public Funding. She has managed public affairs, community outreach programs and ballot measure campaigns with multi-million-dollar budgets on behalf of a number of Fortune 500 companies, local government agencies, non-profit organizations and associations.
Originally from southern California, Spriggs has lead and won national recognition for her work with the multicultural and multilingual communities. Assimilating to the Spanish-language and Latinx-culture through study and living abroad in San Sebastian, Spain, Cherri has spent much of her career developing and implementing culturally appropriate strategies for her clients based in meaningful, respectful, transparent and authentic communication. Her extensive experience and sage counsel make her the go-to choice for clients seeking to specifically deliver their messages to the Latino community.
Her record of success coupled with her unique collaborative approach to ballot initiative campaigns and traditional corporate public affairs programs has earned her a national reputation for being an intentional, strategic leader and a masterful tactical implementor. Spriggs resides in Placer County with her son, and mini Australian Doodle, Adam Sandler. She also serves as the Alternate Public Member to Placer County’s LAFCO, and President of the Board for Visit Placer. She formerly served as an Economic Development Committee Member for the City of Lincoln for six years, President of the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce for two years, Secretary of the Board for Lighthouse Counseling & Family Resource Center for seven years and on the California State University, Chico, Department of Journalism Professional Advisory Board. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Sacramento.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from California State University, Chico, as well as a minor in Spanish and art history.
