Fri September 30, 2022

October 1, 2022 – Roseville, CA,  Placer Business Alliance is pleased to announce its newest board member, Justin Caporusso, President of Caporusso Communications Company, and Executive Director of the Mountain Counties Water Resources Association. Caporusso replaces Cherri Spriggs, a founding board member, who transitioned into the role of interim executive director in June 2022. Caporusso was selected because of his vast expertise around one of Placer County’s most vital resources: water. Additionally, Caporusso’s proven commitment to protecting and preserving south Placer’s quality of life through various leadership roles with a number of local organizations, including the Roseville City School District Foundation and the City of Roseville Planning Commission, make him an incredibly valuable asset as the organization continues to grow.

“We are excited and honored that Justin accepted our offer to join our board,” said Carol Garcia, president of Placer Business Alliance and vice president/community relations officer for First Northern Bank. “I’ve watched Justin and had the privilege to work alongside him for many years and his dedication and commitment to his family, community and clients is a paramount. His professional expertise will help advise our organization’s direction for many years to come.”

In April, PBA celebrated its first year advocating on behalf of Placer County’s largest employment sectors: agriculture/forestry, construction, finance and insurance, health care and social assistance, manufacturing, real estate and rental leasing, retail and tourism. Over the last 18-months the organization has amassed a broad spectrum of support, spearheaded a Placer-focused business summit to Washington, D.C., co-hosted alongside William Jessup University a candidates’ forum for the newly created Congressional District 3, co-hosted alongside Visit Placer and the Placer Vintners Association an evening with Josh Huntsinger, Placer County’s Agricultural Commissioner, partnered with the North State Building Industry Association to commission proprietary research that examined building trends and fees associated with various housing options, facilitated opportunities for business and community leaders to connect with the region’s local, state and congressional leaders, and has helped further policy at the County and National levels to protect Placer County as one of the most business-friendly locales in the Country.

The PBA will be holding its second annual DC Summit Nov. 15-18, 2022. Space is limited to 100. To view the preliminary program, or register to attend, visit: www.placerbusiness.com/registration .
